Why Did We Change Our Name to Pariva?

Very simply, the answer to that is because Pariva aligns better with our mission.

In 2015, I became extremely ill and much of it manifested in my skin. I quickly became aware of the importance of probiotics, gut health and most importantly, clean products. I became passionate about helping people transform and improve their lives.

'Pariva' is extracted from a Hindi word that means 'Transformation.' We believe that our past mistakes in behaviors or wellness decisions should not prevent us from thriving as good, healthy, and productive people in the future.

In support of that mission, we set out to demonstrate that healthier foods can, and should, also taste great. Coincidentally, 'Parivar' means 'family' in Hindi — our products are made for our food family, inspired by the love of hosting gatherings of friends, with the best possible ingredients and a lot of care. They are snackable and shareable as premium quality, better-for-you, refrigerated hors d'oeuvres and appetizers.

Transformation isn't just something we talk about — it's something we practice. It has always been a passion of mine to leave the world a little better than I found it, to do my small part for society. Returning citizens — people coming home after incarceration — often face incredibly limited opportunities, even when they're ready and eager to work. Hiring them has been close to my heart for a long time, but for years, our company was simply too small; it felt like a distant dream rather than something I could actually do.

That dream became reality. Since 2024, returning citizens have been making our products, and I've had the privilege of hiring them and giving them a real place on our team.

As we grow, we hope to continue offering employment opportunities to those who have been marginalized by society — to give them real hope, and a true second chance.
